Animexia began with a simple observation: tartan remains deeply present across British life, yet it is largely absent from one of the objects we carry most.

We saw an opportunity, not to invent tradition, but to give it a considered place in modern hands.

The tartans within the Animexia collection are selected with care. Where recorded, their references are checked against the Scottish Register of Tartans, the official register of tartan designs.

Some carry associations with clans, places and institutions. Others are chosen for their place within the broader tradition of British pattern. Each is approached with respect for its established colour, balance and character.
